Beauty Brief: “Very simple, masculine bobs girls wore in the Twenties.”
Get the Look: Spray bristle brush with Wella’s Shimmer Delight for shine. To tame fly-aways, spray hair with Wella’s Perfect Setting before blowing out hair. Pull hair down and back into ponytail creating a rounded poof, like a bob. Finish with Wella’s Ocean Spritz for texture.

Get the Look: Line top and bottom lid with MAC’s Coffee eye pencil. Apply Black Crème Liner close the lash line. Style Tip: Denim is the perfect canvas for a bright splash of color. We like to roll the hem for a cropped look and pair them with a neutral bag, classic penny loafers and a striped sweater.

Style Tip: “Penny Loafers have come back in a big way! They look great with jeans, a T-shirt and a cardigan but even better with a flirty skirt, blouse, tights and a well-fitted blazer. I am a big fan of a good-girl-gone-bad look.” — Brad Goreski, Stylist

Chiara Ferragni, aka Milan’s The Blonde Salad and one of Europe’s most influential bloggers, puts her own spin on our suede Brady dress.

Style Tip: Lightweight suede is ideal for year-round dressing. Wear it now with bare legs and your favorite wedge. (Wear it later layered over a long-sleeved knit and tights when it gets chillier.) Our Brady dress is a great neutral — we love how Chiara toughened up its classic silhouette with a trapper hat, distressed boots and piles of metal hardware like her favorite Pamela Love and Hermès rings.

The Look: A great dress. Deceptively simple, ultra chic. Perfect for summer.

Style Tip: Sometimes it really is as easy as slipping into a beautiful dress. For summer, it’s all about choosing a look with a flattering silhouette and a bold color or print. Styling Tip: A great, lightweight cardigan, like Tory’s Shrunken Simone, is the ultimate layering piece, weekend or not. For laid-back Saturdays, pair it with your favorite t-shirt and jeans and a bright bag. For Monday, wear it with anything from a printed dress or a chic blouse and slim skirt. Spring is the perfect time to experiment with colors, too — try a knit in a new hue to balance the season’s navy and white neutrals.

The Look: A classic, clean shirtdress, the perfect piece for spring, summer and beyond.

Style Tip: It doesn’t get more effortless—or versatile—than a shirtdress. In navy or white, it’s a blank canvas to complement your favorite piece of jewelry or high platform. Cinch it with a belt—wide or slim—for extra definition.

Spring break means it’s time to show off your toes again. To get a handle on the season’s hottest nail colors (is greige over?), we asked beauty experts what they’re wearing this spring. Two hues emerged as the season’s top contenders: orange and blue/green.

“Fall is inspired by the play of American sportswear and English country dressing—outdoorsy, feminine and textured.” —Tory

Think Long & Loose: Low hems hit a stylish high. Trousers and chic, exaggerated palazzos graze the floor while full skirts hover just below the knee.

Toy with Texture: Tweed and plaid, Fair Isle and shearling, wool with lace and sequins—play masculine against feminine in unexpected, stylish ways.

Pile It On: Layer upon layer is a louche, cool and modern way to dress. It’s also versatile. Feminine blouses look just right under more masculine tweed jackets or cardigans, and we love a long sleeve peeking out beneath a three-quarter one.

Suit Up: The suit is fall’s most translatable look. Pair with a pretty blouse and mid-heel for work or up evening’s glam quotient with a tweed suit shot through with metallic thread.

Femme & Flou: Balance the season’s men’s wear-inspired materials and longer silhouettes with delicate ruffles, pintucks and bows done in a blush color.

Dark Nights: Black and cream bring an elegant edge to evening, as paillettes and sequins add shine to loose tunics and flowing pants.

Bonus Points: Tweed mini bags worn across-body, feminine suede satchels, stacked-heel boots, mid-heel loafers and beautiful chagreen cuffs round out the season’s accessories message.

We captured our new model Martha Streck backstage at our shoot. She was fresh off a flight from Milan but still looked camera-ready. Born in Brazil, Martha has walked some of the biggest runways—from Lanvin and Christian Dior to Rodarte and Chanel. We love her louche off-duty style, especially how she uses our Kilaen Messenger for all her modeling essentials (moisturizer, moisturizer moisturizer).

Into every wardrobe a little hot pink wedge should fall.

Styling Tip: Bold yet neutral. Fashion forward but wearable. The Petra Mid Wedge’s bright pink hue plays just as perfectly against other boldly colored prints as it does your favorite pair of basic cropped pants. Style tip: “Limit your look to two prints of similar scale,” says top stylist Tabitha Simmons. “I love mixing prints and textures, too, like a sequined shirt worn under a printed cardigan.” Wear it now and you’ll also get a jump on a big trend for spring, too.

Why we love it: High-gloss hair is the ultimate accessory, and it looks good on everyone.

Beauty tip: Get weightless, healthy shine by using a quality hairbrush with natural bristles. (Our favorite brush is the beauty industry standard: Mason Pearson.) If you still want more shine, work a pea-sized dab of shine serum into the mid-lengths and ends of hair.

Why we love it: The ponytail is sophisticated yet low-maintenance. Perfect for parties.

Beauty tip: Smooth fly-aways at the hairline using a toothbrush misted with hairspray. (Editorial stylists do it all the time.) Don’t forget to conceal your hair elastic by pulling a narrow lock of hair from the underside of your ponytail, wrapping it over the elastic and securing it with a bobby pin. Instant chic.

For evening, it looks ultra modern worn open and slouchy with cropped tux-like trousers and a high heeled bootie or (for something sexier) a body-conscious miniskirt.

Styling tip: A universally flattering silhouette, the cape looks just as great over a cozy knit and jeans or a cocktail look. Add a brooch (antique or not) for extra interest.

As temperatures dip, it’s the perfect time to pull out your quilts—and we mean the sartorial kind. Quilted vests and bags are the ultimate fall classic.

Styling tip: It’s a chic and easy way to add texture to your wardrobe. Boots have a rugged yet polished country spirit, while flats look city-ready. The all-time classic look, though, is the quilted bag, from roomy weekenders and totes to hobos and minis.

One of the biggest trends on the current European runways for spring 2011 is the black leather jacket. But why wait till spring? Our fall Rocco jacket taps into that tough-chic look perfectly. For something more embellished, try our Matthew or Eder jackets .
