Tamu McPherson, the All the Pretty Birds blogger and Grazia.it Editor-in-Chief, is known for her adventurous look. Her daring ensembles provide print-mixing inspiration from New York to Milan, her new home-base. Just see how she styled our printed leather Christina skirt: with pattern. Here, Tamu reveals all, including the best advice she ever received from Bill Cunningham.
Dare to go spare. Roanne Adams, RoAndCo’s Founder and Creative Director, knows how to pull off pared-back style with serious aplomb. She keeps things simple in her all-black outfit and lets her accessories pack all the punches — a striking multi-strand gold necklace, studded heels and our structured Priscilla satchel.
We have a soft spot for working classic menswear pieces into our repertoire. Take this reversible scarf inspired by a favorite of one particularly dashing gentleman — Tory’s father, Buddy. Made out of a refined, ultra-soft wool, it has the distinguished feel of a traditional mens’ scarf, while polka dots add a playful element. Whether tucked into ladylike coats or worn with a blazer, this masculine-feminine style is the perfect un-ditsy dot. Shop our Buddy Scarf — or all scarves now.
As a thank you to all the models who walked in our show last week, we gave them an editorial favorite — the Priscilla. And we love how they made it their own.

This fall, why not channel a little Jim Morrison and The Doors? Live the lyrics and be a Twentieth Century Fox — fashionably fun, the queen of cool….
All it takes is our new favorite motif: the fox. You can wear it myriad ways, from casual and sportif to equestrian-chic to glamorous. Is Grace Kelly’s ladylike polish more your thing? Try our printed chiffon scarf — tie it around your handbag for a more subtle touch.
You’ll also love our playful take on the everyday ballet flat. As the song goes, all eyes will be watching the way you walk.
15 minutes go a long way when you’re talking in Andy Warhol years. Decades after his death, he’s still a major influence on everything from pop culture to contemporary art. Regarding Warhol: Sixty Artists, Fifty Years, at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, turns the spotlight on the latter; in addition to his own paintings and films, the show includes works by Cindy Sherman, Jeff Koons, Elizabeth Peyton and others. Connect the dots between Warhol’s famous soup cans and Ai Weiwei’s Neolithic vases. Or his silk-screened Jackie and Francesco Vezzoli’s embroidered Liza. Opening tomorrow, the exhibit is a play of compare and contrast that will intrigue and surprise you.

Happy Independence Day to all our friends and family in Mexico. To celebrate, we asked Rodman Primack, world traveler and style connoisseur, for his favorite artists in Mexico City — a cultural hotspot for talent, like Gabriel Orozco whose Samurai Tree is pictured here. See Rodman’s entire list.
Some people call Nian Fish the Model Whisperer. Fish, a creative director and KCD creative consultant, keeps models in the designer’s mood and on tempo on the runway. They have to pass her energy and attitude test before stepping from backstage to runway. But what she says to keep the models going mid-show translates to real life, too. Listening to her at Tory’s show inspired us to think positive, wonderful thoughts. Like “You’re about to travel around the world…with your boyfriend. Go!” See all Fish’s advice here.
Christopher Gove might not have a background in fashion design (he’s an illustrator and graphic designer by trade), but that hasn’t stopped his new men’s wear line Percival from making serious waves in the UK. Just in time for London Fashion Week, he gave us his thoughts on British style and the best spots in the city.
The chicest Brit of all time…
Michael Caine, circa Alfie/The Italian Job — his Cockney swagger and effortless sartorial style embody what most men should aspire to. Also, my granddad, who was a spy for MI6 during WWII and the Cold War. In every picture he had a cigar, silk scarf and tweed jacket.
Karl Lagerfeld has whipped up some unbelievable fantasies at his longtime Chanel show venue, Paris’ Grand Palais — a hay-filled farmhouse, a full-sized facade of 31 rue Cambon and a 265-ton iceberg. Now, he’s transformed it into a scene straight out of the glittering Belle Époque era for the XXVI Biennale des Antiquaires, opening today, complete with a bar inspired by a classic hot air balloon. Expect great art, amazing furnishings and, for the foodies out there, a different menu every day from award-winning chefs, including the Ritz’s Michel Roth and La Côte Saint Jacques’ Jean-Michel Lorain.
Where is everyone going after-hours during London Fashion Week? Robin Birley’s latest nightspot, Loulou’s. Its interior (every good club needs a giant stuffed animal giraffe) was designed by Rifat Ozbek, who stopped for some q’s….
Loulou’s decor is inspired by…music halls, Twenties Afro Deco, gypsy caravans and Tibetan temples.
I always order…Hot Fred cocktail.
Everyone loves Loulou’s because…it’s one of a kind.
Easiest way to make a room look chic…mixing lots of Yastik cushions.

Vogue and V Magazine photographer Abbey Drucker showed us how she goes from summer to fall: with head-to-toe black and a bohemian-meets-tomboy mix. She softens all the black by showing a little leg and accenting her look with gold details on her jewelry, belt and bag. Drucker balanced the structure of our Priscilla satchel — a ladylike take on the messenger bag — with the hippie vibe of her headscarf.

“Spring 2013 is about the American prep remix. We were thinking about a stylish magpie who picks up special pieces while traveling around the world and always mixes them with classic sportswear.” — Tory
After the Spring 2013 show, Tory and the design team headed to TriBeca for a celebratory lunch at Locanda Verde. From the prosciutto to the pappardelle, see the menu here.
What’s the must-have ‘do of the spring runways? Or should we say, mussed-have? On the Tory Burch runway, Eugene Souleiman created braids to echo one of our favorite prints…wheat. See how.

How does a girl from Brazil tackle New York Fashion Week? With a lot of Instagramming, blogging and getting the news on Style.com and Jak & Jil. Here, Mariah Bernardes of the popular Blog Da Mariah gives us her front-row secrets.
Happy Birthday, Bergdorf Goodman! The legendary shopping institution is celebrating its 111th anniversary with a big fashion-week bash on Wednesday. There’s also a new documentary and companion book out, called Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf Goodman; both detail some pretty wonderful (and personal) anecdotes about the store. Tory herself reminisces about going there with her parents, starting at age six. Here, a few more tales.
What’s the other part of the fashion-week equation, aside from great clothes on the runway? The parties, of course. So we enlisted LDV Hospitality consultant Amy Sacco, fresh from Bungalow 8 pop-ups at the Toronto and Venice Film Festivals, to tell us about the art of a good soiree.
At a party, I break the ice by…
Telling a joke. Even if people don’t think it’s funny, I end up laughing at myself.
