The chic Art Director and blogger on her hometown of Munich — where we’ve just opened up a new store
My style is…
A mix between minimalism and California laid-back.
And Munich style is…
Relaxed and classy.
One wardrobe essential no Munich wardrobe is without…
Huge sunglasses for sunny days in the beer garden or in the park.
Here I’m wearing…
Tory’s Merrit top and Heidi pant, a Nike jacket, Céline bag and River Island flats, with a skateboard from Stop It Right Now.
When packing for a trip here, don’t forget…
Sunglasses and an umbrella — you never know what weather you’ll get.
My favorite restaurants…
Burger House — I always order the classic house burger with fries. And Wir Machen Cupcakes — I love the red velvet cupcake.
Cocktail to drink if you want to be mistaken for a local…
No cocktail — simply order beer.
One thing you can get in Munich that you can’t get anywhere else…
The best brezn (pretzels).
If you only have 24 hours in Munich, I recommend…
Shopping on the Maximilianstrasse and enjoying the sun in the English Gardens. And don’t forget to visit Nymphenburg Palace.
Secret only a local would know…
Munich is something of a surfing hotspot. The Eisbach is a small man-made river which is situated in the city’s English Gardens. So don’t be afraid if you see a guy with a surfboard in the city center.
Most scenic spot in Munich…
The Glockenbachviertel with all its bars and little shops.
