The Harper’s Bazaar Senior Digital Editor, here wearing Tory’s Emilia dress,
talks Mother’s Day and what’s next in the digital world.

My style is…
A pretty spot-on reflection of my interior state.

Here, I’m wearing…
Tory’s Emilia dress. I paired it with white leather Isabel Marant pour H&M pants, a Balenciaga bracelet and nude Reed Krakoff sandals to keep everything light but add a little edge.

My personal styling trick is…
To strike a balance. If something is very feminine, I’ll add something with a masculine or preppy feel to get that contrast.

Best style advice I’ve ever received…
My Grandma Ginnie will still break out amazing earrings or a great jacket that she’s had for 30 years or longer — which has taught me to seek out and only buy things that I really, really love… that also have longevity.

Best Mother’s Day gift I’ve given…
A spa day. No one deserves it more, and my mom loves her products.

Favorite thing to do with each other…
I love stealing my mom away from home and having her visit me in New York. Our favorite activity is a museum on the Upper East Side (MoMA, Met, Guggenheim, Frick), followed by lunch and Bloody Marys at J.G. Melon.

Favorite online style inspiration…
Bazaar.com! But blogger Evangelie of Style Heroine is very, very chic.

My online guilty pleasure…
All the Brit tabloids are a great source of entertainment: the Telegraph, Daily Mail and Grazia.

Favorite fashion people on Instagram…
Mert Alas always has beautiful imagery of just the people you want to look at. Claire Distenfeld of Fivestory has market pics to make you swoon. And Habitually Chic’s Heather Clawson has a mix of lifestyle and fashion — she has a really strong point of view and is just always inspiring.

The apps I use most…
Instagram, of course! Outside of jealousy-inducing vacation snaps, it’s a surprising resource for information.

What’s next in digital…
The number one story for The New York Times last year was an interactive map. I think content now is all about engaging the user in innovative ways — get your programmers on speed dial!
