Those seeking to press pause during the mania of New York Fashion Week should seek out the Shubui Spa at The Greenwich Hotel in downtown Manhattan. It’s just a short cab ride away from the shows, but you’ll feel like you stepped into another world and time zone where inner zen is the focus — not front-row wattage and the rise and fall of hemlines. There’s a great menu of massages — including the Drunken Lotus, with hot, sake-soaked towels — and body treatments, like the skin-firming and -hydrating Bamboo Glow. Or maybe you just want to soak in a scented mineral-rich therapeutic bath or have a private yoga session by a gorgeous heated in-door pool — Shubui has all this too, plus an array of facial services (Oxygen Awakening or Diamond Multisensorial Lifting, anyone?).

But don’t just take our word for it. Model Constance Jablonski names Shubui her pick for the top spa in the world. “I love the warm ambience, the pool and the gorgeous and comfortable bathrobes you get when you come in for a treatment,” she tells Tory Daily. Her favorite treatment? The deep-tissue massage.
