Tory Daily’s special Fashion Week Issue continues… Next up: We spotlight the eternally stylish Adriana Abascal, a fashion influencer from Mexico. Here, wearing a shirt and jacket from Spring/Summer 2016 and Tory’s cropped frayed-hem skinny jeans, she takes some time off from the craze of NYFW to talk style and Style Stories.

My style is…
Elegance with a touch of extravagance, sophisticated yet simple. I aim for organic glamour and effortless refinement.

My NYFW essentials…
Statement jacket, cashmere turtleneck, iPhone, camera and sunglasses

When I’m in town for NYFW, I always visit…
SoulCycle, the Guggenheim Museum and Serendipity.

And I always make sure to pack…
Gym clothes, my computer, my favorite sweatshirt and a fabulous blazer.

My style influences and icons…
My mother.

Best style advice received…
To have style is to be yourself in every facet of your life, to show your own signature every time you dress.

My first fashion obsession…
I have always dreamed about wearing haute couture Chanel. Her background, how she became the ultimate reference of elegance, is so inspirational. I was so fortunate to have been able to be in Vogue Italy. I did an amazing editorial for haute couture with Deborah Turbeville. So dreams can come true…

One thing you should know about Latin style…
We are very feminine and we love color!

My series, My Style Stories is…
#MyStyleStories and #MyStylePedia were created as a result of my own experiences of finding creativity in dressing. We all endure the “what do I wear, I only have 20 minutes to get dressed” issue. My goal is to inspire everyday women with achievable looks and outfits for all occasions. Everything is documented on my lifestyle website: www.adrianaabascal.com

And I’m also working on…
I just concluded the first round of my 30-day social media challenge called #thereinventionproject. This is a program and contest to encourage healthy living from the inside out. It encourages followers to challenge themselves each day with three different, unique tasks including meditation, exercise, eating clean as well as wearing something you wouldn’t normally wear! The objective is to incentivize men and women around the world to implement simple, easy routines into their everyday life to result in better living. Followers were encouraged to post their progress throughout the 30 days. The response and engagement was tremendous — we were so thrilled to have over 1,000 applicants to participate.
