This summer, the WSJ’s Off Duty Style Director is Nantucket-bound.

WHAT I’M PACKING…
I keep it casual — Thakoon’s printed bell-bottoms, Men’s Riviera Club button-downs, men’s crewneck sweaters from Murray’s Toggery, a red Eres string bikini, Pamela Love’s turquoise cuff.
DURING THE DAY I WILL…
Go to the beach at Madequecham to body-surf and play Kadima (beach tennis). My friends and I have huge round robin tournaments.
AT NIGHT I WILL…
Barbecue at my family’s house. I reward early bird guests with fresh oysters, usually from the Vineyard.
FOR A NIGHTCAP I WILL…
Head to the piano bar at the Summer House in ‘Sconset. It always has an eclectic group of people and you can sing along with the piano man, which I — unfortunately for everyone else — can’t resist.
SUMMER COCKTAIL…
A special (and pretty strong) punch — add a cup of frozen peaches, pineapples and strawberries, the juice of two limes, tequila or rum, equal parts Ting (a fantastic Jamaican grapefruit soda) and club soda. Garnish with fresh tarragon or mint.
BOOKS I’M PACKING…
Rob Lowe’s Stories I Only Tell My Friends, Paula McLain’s The Paris Wife.
ON RAINY DAYS I WILL…
Go to Bartlett’s Farm, grab a bunch of prepared food (the potato salad is the best), bring it to Cisco Brewers with friends and do a flight tasting of all their different beers.
TRAVEL TIP…
Fog happens. Fly before 4 p.m.
SECRET ONLY A LOCAL WOULD KNOW…
Never beep your car horn on the island! It’s considered bad manners.
SUMMER PLAYLIST…
Burning Spear, Fats Domino, The Troggs, Kings of Leon, Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra
