It’s a goal we all co-sign, but ever wonder what, precisely, living your best life actually looks like? The answer is right here, in the new issue of Elle Décor, whose cover story is written by one Tory insider about another. For the assignment, Tory Burch Senior Director of Editorial and Social Media Nan D’Souza Wolfe visited fashion consultant and Tory Burch brand ambassador Filipa De Abreu at her colorful Lisbon apartment that’s a monument to living like you mean it. The four-bedroom space, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, is home to De Abreu, her three children, and their dog, Flynn.
Pascal Chevallier’s photographs show a sumptuous home base decked out with canopied daybeds, hand-painted dining room tiger and giraffe murals (created on site by a team of Jaipur-based artisans), and myriad Tory Burch Home pieces (the glassware looks sublime in the Portuguese sunshine). Jaw-dropping as the details may be, the most impressive ones defy the constraints of magazine photography. De Abreu tells Wolfe of her regular 24-person dinner parties, which always feature hand-embroidered napkins and occasionally involve a live troupe of cancan dancers. “Minimalism,” she shares, “is not for me.” There, ladies and gentlemen, is all the 2020 inspo you’ll ever need.
