This is a pivotal moment in our country as the impact of systemic racism has come into broad daylight. People are unified and loud, demanding equity for black people in the US, and in so doing, equity for all minorities. Here, a list of books that are important resources on how to combat systemic racism and understanding the everyday experiences of our black friends, family, colleagues and neighbors.

“By not running from books that pain us, we can allow them to transform us,” wrote Ibram X. Kendi in his Antiracist Reading List for the New York Times. Kendi wrote How to Be an Antiracist, on our list below, and is launching Boston University’s Center for Antiracist Research.
