“It’s what a woman would do herself, but a perfected idea,” said hairstylist Guido Palau of the season’s runway hair. He and his team gathered blow-dried locks into low, casually tucked-up ponytails. “It’s very American,” added Guido, “but it has a nod to the ’90s and that minimal era of fashion.”
Echoing the collection’s understated yet experimental direction, the models’ faces were mostly natural with an occasional pop of space-age flash. Makeup artist Diane Kendal began with a base of dewy skin using Clé de Peau Beauté’s Radiant Fluid Foundation then added lightly flushed cheeks with the brand’s Luminizing Face Enhancer and Cream Blush. On a few models, she created an otherworldly look with silver shadow and crushed sparkle on the eyelids. “It’s futuristic but there’s a bit of toughness there too,” said Kendal.
