The new collection explored the tension between opulence and pragmatism. This played out in handbags that took inspiration from humble everyday objects and embellished versions of signature styles that retain their original functionality.
IN THE KEY OF LEE
On the runway, the Lee Radziwill collection hit two different notes. The Shopper was inspired by a simple paper bag, crafted in a lightweight bonded leather with thin straps and elegantly slimmed down hardware. The Classic, our structured frame bag introduced in 2018, was updated with colorful, dimensional floral embroidery, an echo from ready-to-wear.
SEALED WITH A KISS
Two kisses, technically. A softer, feminine evolution of last season’s Buddy Satchel, the new Double Frame shoulder bag is bookended by kiss-lock pouches, with a tiny padlock zip pull. A decidedly daytime bag, twisted with the unexpected.
A RUNWAY RETURN
The handwoven basket from the FW26 runway has been a favorite since its mid-summer launch. A distilled take on the bags that Tory carried in high school, the totes returned for SS27 in new colors and patterns, created in partnership with the Indian artisans of Marasim.
