Fall 2014 Runway Exclusive: The Jeweled Drop Earring Cuff
Tough chic: the single statement earring, straight from our Fall 2014 runway show. Now available for pre-order, the limited edition Jeweled Drop Earring Cuff is inspired by the beauty of Old World armor. Brilliant in burnished gold with prong-set glass stones, the design is finished with a chain that hangs from the top of the ear. It’s a standout piece that works back to our collection — and an edgy take on antique jewelry.

Fall 2014: The Collection
“The inspiration starts with the armor my parents collected. The references are subtle, whether in the mix of textures (woven, quilted, pleated) or in the tapestry brocades and florals. The focus is on clean, strong silhouettes with bold embellishments. Accessories reflect the mood — belts with chain details, lace-up ghillie heels and muffs.” — Tory

The adventures continue on her Instagram here, @evachen212.

Entrepreneurs: La Marque’s Meredith Melling & Valerie Boster
In life, it’s easy to rest on your laurels and never take a risk. This month, two fashion-world insiders prove that, for them, this was never an option. After departing Vogue earlier this year, Valerie Boster (left, wearing Tory’s Mia pants) and Meredith Melling (wearing the Brynn necklace) have finally pulled up the curtains on their much-anticipated venture: La Marque. Applying the lessons learned behind the scenes during their combined 20-plus years on the Vogue masthead, they’ve created a business to help grow and develop the brands they admire. Here, photographed against a painting by Geraldine Neuwirth, the magazine’s alums share a little bit of their vision, plus some wisdom imparted by their former boss.

Word of Mouth: Tory at 10
Ten years ago today, we opened our doors on Elizabeth Street. (Those would be metaphoric doors, of course, since the orange lacquer ones hadn’t arrived in time.) But we opened, thanks to a team effort of friends and family, including Tory’s mother Reva. Some things never change… and we hope they never do. Ten years have flown by, and we can’t thank our customers enough for coming along on this ride. Here’s to the next decade and exciting things to come in 2014.
