Meet the Artist: Roger Fritz
As an actor and director, Munich-based Roger Fritz has worked with everyone from film legends Rainer Werner Fassbinder to Luchino Visconti. When it comes to his photography, he’s aimed his lens at subjects no less stellar, including The Beatles, Paul Bowles and Jeanne Moreau. Recently, though, the 77 year old has been chasing after the abstract, including the above image from his pool series. As we celebrate Spring 2014’s inspiration in La Piscine, we talk to the artist about these later works — plus, he shares his own anecdote about our lady of the moment, Romy Schneider.

Meet the Band: ASTR
A chance meeting at yoga and a mutual love for mythology formed the foundation for New York-based band ASTR. Members Zoe Silverman (wearing Tory’s Kane sweater and Lace cuff) and Adam Pallin just released their debut EP, Varsity, and are hitting California next week with performances in San Francisco and L.A. Film: Tory Burch x Wonderland
Spring 2014 channels the easy glamour of the 1969 film La Piscine — as you may have read. But what if you then channel the easy glamour of the collection itself… through a dreamy, cinematic lens? Wonderland magazine did just that, with the above film which captures the mood and layers on a little mystery and cool attitude courtesy of model Harmony Boucher (who also happens to be the frontwoman for London rock band vuvuvultures). Directed by Dominic Clarke, Tory Burch x Wonderland takes you behind the scenes of our accompanying feature in the newest issue of Wonderland, which was guest-edited by the cover girl herself: Emma Watson.

The cropped hemlines of the Sixties, a soundtrack of psychedelic pop, palm trees and pools… the Spring 2014 scene is set. Filmmaker Robert Nethery captures models Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Bette Franke and Frida Aasen in the collection’s smart silhouettes, with Miami and Opossom’s Blue Meanies song as the sunny backdrop. From abstract florals to classic navy and white, there’s one word that comes to mind: fresh. It’s all clear blue skies from here.
